IRVINE, Calif. – Ryan Kreidler hit a solo home run in the third inning, while Jake Pries recorded a RBI-double as the UCLA baseball fell at UC Irvine, 12-4, in the team's final midweek game of the regular season on Tuesday at Cicerone Field at Anteater Ballpark.

After holding UC Irvine scoreless for the first three innings, the Anteaters scored 10 runs in the fourth inning. Cole Kreuter began the inning with a two-run home run and Keston Hiura hit a two-run single. Kreuter drove in two more runs later in the inning with a single through the left side followed by Alex Guenette driving in the final run of the frame with a double down the left-field line.

UCLA scored the first run of the game in the third inning as Kreidler ripped a high fastball over the wall in left field for a solo home run.

The Bruins picked up three runs in the ninth inning as Chase Strumpf and Pries hit back-to-back doubles to lead off the frame, followed later by Zander Clarke driving in a run on a sacrifice fly to center field and Jake Hirabayashi scoring on a UCI error.

Moises Ceja (2-5) suffered the loss allowing two runs on three hits with two strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work. UCI's Calvin Faucher (2-5) earned the win tossing 4.0 innings allowing one run on four hits with four strikeouts.

UCLA (28-24) finished the game with four runs on eight hits with no errors, while UC Irvine (21-32) ended with 12 runs on 14 hits with one error.

The Bruins will travel to Oregon this weekend for the final three games of the regular season starting on Thursday at 6 p.m. (PT) from PK Park. All three games of the series will be streamed on Pac-12 Plus.
