LOS ANGELES – The UCLA women's basketball team will play 11 non-conference games this upcoming season, including facing four teams that made the NCAA Tournament a year ago and another that reached the second round of the WNIT.

After a home exhibition game against Vanguard on Sunday, Nov. 5, the Bruins will open their season at home against San Jose State on Friday, Nov. 10. The game against the Spartans is the start of four straight home games where UCLA has won 28 straight home games, which is the second-longest active streak in the country and the second-longest in UCLA history.

The Bruins will face Presbyterian College for the first time in the history of both programs on Sunday, Nov. 12 before facing two powerhouses in the span of four days. UCLA will host Baylor on Saturday, Nov. 18 and then UConn on Tuesday, Nov. 21, to conclude a four-game home stand to open the season. The Bears reached the Elite Eight a year ago while the Huskies lost in the Final Four after knocking out the Bruins in the Sweet Sixteen. Baylor leads the series with the Bruins, 7-2, while UConn holds a 4-0 lead in the series with UCLA.

"I'm excited about our non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2017-18 season," UCLA head coach Cori Close said. "It is very challenging but it gives us the opportunity to earn what we want and be prepared for the demanding Pac-12 season."

The Baylor and UConn games begin a stretch of four consecutive opponents that reached the NCAA Tournament in 2016-17. The Bruins will spend Thanksgiving in Las Vegas at the South Point Shoot-Out, taking on Kansas State on Friday, Nov. 24 and Creighton on Saturday, Nov. 25. Both teams advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament a year ago. UCLA is 3-0 all-time versus K-State with the last meeting occurring in 1980 and has never faced Creighton.

Upon returning home from Las Vegas, the Bruins will host two teams from the Big West Conference the following week. UCLA will face UC Riverside on Tuesday, Nov. 28 and then UC Santa Barbara on Sunday, Dec. 3. The Bruins are 6-0 all-time against the Highlanders and 13-2 versus the Gauchos.

UCLA will conclude its non-conference slate with three straight road games, which begins with a trip to Stillwater, Okla., to face Oklahoma State on Friday, Dec. 8. UCLA won the only other meeting against the Cowgirls in 1985. The Bruins will then have nine days off for finals before facing Seton Hall in South Orange, N.J., on Sunday, Dec. 17. The Bruins evened the series with the Pirates at 1-1 with a home win in 1997. The Bruins will conclude the regular season in Bronx, N.Y., for a game at Fordham on Wednesday, Dec. 20.

"We have premier opponents coming to Pauley Pavilion this year and we need our fans to come out in full force," Close added. "This team is committed to excellence and we can't wait to share our passion for the game with our great fans in Pauley Pavilion. We are preparing hard this summer for a special year and we can't wait to see you in November."

Season ticket packages are on sale now starting as low as $99. To secure your seats in Pauley Pavilion for the 2017-18 season, call (310) 206-5991 or click here.
