NORMAN, Okla. - Junior Corey Shaun was named to the Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar Team on Wednesday, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America. A total of 260 players in Division I earned the honor.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a cumulative career grade point average of 3.2.

Shaun's GCAA All-America Scholar award is his first in his initial year eligible. The junior, who also earned his first Pac-12 Conference All-Academic Honorable Mention nod in May, appeared in eight tournaments and played 24 rounds last season, posting a 74.5 scoring average. Shaun recorded a pair of Top 20 showings in his last three events, tying for 17th at the Pac-12 Championships (April 28-30, +7, 217) and tying for 16th at the Western Intercollegiate (April 8-9, +4, 214). He had four under par rounds, including a season-best, 4-under 67 at the Arizona Intercollegiate (Jan. 23-24).

The Bruins, as a team, also earned GCAA All-Academic Team honors.
