BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - Bruin alum Erynne Lee won for the second time in three weeks on the Symetra Tour, posting a 5-under 67 on Sunday to win the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship at the Battle Creek Country Club. Lee, who trailed by two strokes heading into the final round, finished with a three-day total of 12-under 204 to record a two-shot triumph.
With the $15,000 first-place check, Lee moves from fourth to third on the Volvik Race for the Card money list with just over $70,000 in 15 starts. Only seven events remain in the 2017 season, with the Top 10 on the money list earning LPGA Tour cards for 2018.
"This is a really great cushion (to earn my LPGA card), but I'm obviously not going to let my guard down," Lee told the Symetra Tour website. "We have seven events left and anything could happen. Anyone could have a good week and a good stretch so I just want to keep this momentum going."
