
Sophomore midfielder Jessie Fleming of the UCLA women's soccer team has been named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Aug. 14-20.
Fleming began the 2017 season with two goals and three assists in the Bruins' first two games, both 5-1 victories, over San Diego State and at Long Beach State. In the win over San Diego State, she scored the game-winning goal on a spectacular volley and also assisted on the game's first goal. At San Diego State, she scored a goal in the third minute and added two assists. Fleming, who has a goal or assist in her last five games, leads the team with seven points.

This is Fleming's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and fifth of her career. She was also named the Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Week.
