Junior forward Hailie Mace of the UCLA women's soccer team has been voted the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Aug. 21-27.

Mace recorded a first-half hat trick in UCLA's 4-2 victory over 2016 NCAA quarterfinalist Santa Clara on Thursday. Her hat trick was the 26th all-time at UCLA and the first of her collegiate career. Mace's first goal gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead with a header of a long free kick, followed just six minutes later by a shot near the penalty kick area for her second of the game. She completed the hat trick in the final minute of the half when she finished a counter attack to the right post.

Mace entered the season without a collegiate goal and now leads UCLA in scoring with 10 points and is tied for the team lead in goals scored with four.

The seventh-ranked women's soccer team stayed undefeated over the weekend after earning a 3-1 victory over UC Santa Barbara on Sunday to improve to 4-0.

This is Mace's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of her career.

Also Nominated: Mac May (Women's Volleyball), Brian Iloski (Men's Soccer).
