CALGARY, Alberta - Bruin alum Scott McCarron won for the fourth time on the PGA TOUR Champions in 2017 on Sunday, winning the Shaw Charity Classic at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club. McCarron finished the tournament at 16-under 194 to beat Miguel Angel Jimenez by one shot. 

McCarron, who has six victories over the last two seasons, held a two-stroke lead heading into Sunday's final round following a 63 and 64 on Friday and Saturday, respectively, before shooting a 3-under 67 for his final 18 holes. He matched Bernhard Langer for the most victories on the season and earned $352,500 to get closer to Langer in the Charles Schwab Cup standings and go over the $2 million mark in 2017 earnings.

This season, McCarron has won the DICK's Sporting Goods Open in August (two weeks ago), the Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Championship in July (first major win) and the Allianz Championship in February.

UCLA alums have won five times on the PGA TOUR Champions in 2017, with Brandt Jobe winning the Principal Charity Classic in June. Seven tournaments remain in the 2017 PGA TOUR Champions season.
