Freshman Nicolas Saveljic led the Bruins in scoring with four goals while senior Max Irving added a hat trick. Sophomore Alex Wolf got the start and played the first half, making seven saves while pitching a shutout. Senior Aleksandar Ruzic played the second half, registering five saves while allowing two goals.
Saveljic got the Bruins on the board first with a goal from the front court (6:54). Senior Alex Roelse put the Bruins up 2-0 with a power play goal (2:03) and then Evan Rosenfeld scored on a counter (1:22) to make it 3-0. Rosenfeld would add a goal from the front court (0:19) to end the scoring in the first quarter with UCLA leading 4-0.
UCLA pitched another shutout in the second quarter while scoring five goals. Irving would score a hat trick in a span of 2:22, beginning with a strike from the front court (7:35) followed by a counter (6:59) and ending with another score from the front court (5:13). Saveljic added his second goal on a 6-on-5 opportunity (2:27) to extend the lead to 8-0. Freshman Felix Brozyna-Vilim ended the scoring in the period with a goal from two meters (0:24) to give the Bruins a 9-0 lead at the break.
Saveljic completed his hat trick with a power play goal to open the scoring in the third (7:26) to give UCLA a double-digit lead (10-0). Senior Jack Grover made it 11-0 with a score off a nice drive (6:32) and junior David Stiling followed with a goal from the front court (5:12) to push the lead to 12-0. Austin Hwang finally got Brown on the board (4:54) with a goal from the front court. But sophomore Eric Goldenberg answered with a power play goal for the Bruins on the next possession (4:28) to extend the lead to 13-1. Saveljic scored his fourth of the game with a front court strike (1:53) to end the scoring in the third with the Bruins leading 14-1.
UCLA opened the final period with three straight goals from three different Bruins. Senior Jesse Camou scored on a drive (6:13), Goldenberg added his second on a power play (5:09) and senior James Robinson scored on a drive (4:28) to make it 17-1. Brown's Hudson Rawlings added a score off a drive (4:08) to trim the lead to 17-2. Senior Matt Farmer scored from set (3:22) to provide the 18-2 final.
