The UCLA men's basketball program has a Pac-12-best 15 former student-athletes on NBA opening day rosters entering the 2017-18 season, which tipped off with two games on Tuesday.
 
In all, the Pac-12 Conference has 70 former student-athletes on NBA opening day rosters. All 12 member schools have at least one former player in the league.
 
UCLA had four former players in action on Tuesday night, with the Cleveland Cavaliers hosting the Boston Celtics before the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors took on the Houston Rockets. In action from UCLA's program were Kevin Love (Cleveland), Kevon Looney (Golden State), Trevor Ariza (Houston) and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (Houston).
 
Prior to Golden State's game, Looney and former UCLA guard Bob Myers (1995-98), now the general manager of the Warriors, each received 2017 NBA Championship rings.
 
Seven former UCLA standouts will see their respective NBA teams open the 2017-18 campaign on Wednesday night. Three Bruins will be in action for the Indiana Pacers – Darren Collison and rookies TJ Leaf and Ike Anigbogu. In addition, Arron Afflalo will be in action with Orlando, Jrue Holiday with New Orleans, Shabazz Muhammad with Minnesota and Kyle Anderson with San Antonio.
 
Opening the regular season on Thursday evening will be Norman Powell of Toronto, Zach LaVine of Chicago, Russell Westbrook of Oklahoma City and rookie Lonzo Ball with the Los Angeles Lakers.
