LOS ANGELES – UCLA Football (3-3; 3-0 at home) will host the Oregon Ducks (4-3) this Saturday, October 21 at the Rose Bowl Stadium for Homecoming. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. PT.
Parking lots for UCLA vs. Oregon Gameday presented by Wescom will open at 7:00 a.m. Fans are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and pre-purchase parking online here for a $5 discount off on-site pricing.
The Rose Bowl offers one of the best tailgating experiences in college football, with a variety of options for pre-game celebrations. The Fan Zone presented by Ralphs opens at 8:45 a.m. UCLA's 1967 Heisman Trophy Winner Gary Beban will be signing autographs from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., courtesy of Wescom. The UCLA football team will make its way through the Fan Zone to the stadium for the traditional Bruin Walk at approximately 10:30 a.m.
Rose Bowl gates open at 11:30 a.m., and the first 20,000 fans to enter the stadium wearing blue will receive a special edition Gary Beban Collector's Coin compliments of Wescom, in honor of the 50th anniversary of Beban's Heisman Trophy-winning season. This coin will be the second in a series of 10, two of which will be given out each season from 2017-21. Beban will be in attendance on Saturday and will address the crowd as part of the 50th anniversary celebration during the first quarter break.
In addition, the first 5,000 students through the gates will receive an AAA rally towel, and 5,000 pom-poms will be placed on student section seats. Fans at the game who check in via the BruWin Rewards app will receive one free fish taco, courtesy of Wahoo's.
Fans are encouraged to enter the Rose Bowl early to minimize wait times. As a reminder, enhanced screening procedures, including the use of electronic security equipment at all gates, have been implemented at UCLA Football games. The Clear Bag Policy limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the Rose Bowl. The policy is designed to provide more consistent screening and to expedite fan entry.
As part of Homecoming activities, Saturday's game marks the return of audio-amplified cheering and fan engagement on the east side of the stadium by current members of the UCLA Spirit Squad.
Saturday's Honorary Captain is former Bruins running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who during his three years at UCLA set school records including career all-purpose yards (4,688 yards), single game rushing yards (322 yards), and touchdowns in a game (5). Jones-Drew was drafted in the second round of the 2006 Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars and went on to play in the NFL for nine seasons. The three-time Pro Bowl selection (2009, 2010, 2011) led the NFL in rushing in 2011. He retired in 2015 and now serves as an analyst on the Los Angeles Rams radio broadcast team.
Fans should be in their seats by 12:30 p.m. to witness pregame festivities, including a National Anthem performance by the UCLA Bruin Marching Band and a multi-plane flyover by the Tiger Squadron.
At halftime, the newest class of inductees into the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame will be recognized on the field. This group comprises Jones-Drew (Football), Toby Bailey (Men's Basketball), Robin Beauregard (Women's Water Polo), Bobby Field (Football Coach & Administrator), Monique Henderson (Track & Field), Bob Larsen (Track & Field and Cross Country Coach), Kristen Maloney (Gymnastics), Brandon Taliaferro (Men's Volleyball) and Gina Vecchione (Softball). They will have been inducted into the Hall of Fame the night prior during a ceremony on campus.
Also during halftime, the UCLA Marching Band will perform, along with the high school bands participating in High School Band Day.
