ERIN, Wis. - The Bruins held steady at a windy Erin Hills Golf Course to finish second at the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills, while sophomore Hidetoshi Yoshihara tied for third, just one shot shy of tying for medalist honors.

UCLA shot an 8-over 296 on Tuesday to finish at +13 (877), 11 strokes back of team winner Texas A&M.

Even in adverse conditions, Yoshihara had one of the best rounds on the course on Tuesday, shooting a 2-under 70. He parred his first 13 holes before making a birdie on #14. Yoshihara then made three more pars and birdied the last to post a 54-hole score of -2 (214), just one of four players to finish under par for the tournament. He finished one shot behind Florida State's Harry Ellis and Marquette's Austin Kendziorski.

Senior Tyler Collier and freshman Eddy Lai each tied for 16th (+5, 221). Collier posted a 1-under 71 in his final round, making six birdies on #1, #4, #7, #8, #14 and #16, as well as five bogeys. Lai shot a 7-over 79 on Tuesday on five bogeys and a double. Junior Patrick Murphy, playing as an individual, tied for 37th (+12, 228). He birdied his first hole, #10, as well as #2, to go with seven bogeys and a double for a 7-over 79. Junior Cole Madey tied for 42nd (+13, 229), shooting a 4-over 76 on Tuesday with a birdie on #14, three bogeys and a double. Freshman Devon Bling tied for 47th (+14, 230). He made a birdie on #4, eight bogeys and a double in a final-round 81 (+9).

A group of UCLA individuals will take part in the Bill Cullum Invitational at Wood Ranch Golf Course in Simi Valley, Calif (Oct. 16-17), while the Bruins' next team tournament is the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate (Oct. 20-22) in Alpharetta, Ga.
