
UCLA Gymnastics Announces 2018 Schedule

UCLA will host five regular season gymnastics meets in 2018, including a historic meet on Feb. 4 against defending NCAA champion Oklahoma that will be the first-ever regular season gymnastics meet televised live on ESPN.
In another first, UCLA will compete twice on a podium in the regular season, traveling to Reno, Nev. for Elevate the Stage on Jan. 14 vs. Utah, Stanford and Washington and to Dallas, Texas for the Metroplex Challenge against LSU, Washington and North Carolina State on Jan. 27.
Seven regular season meets will be televised on Pac-12 Networks, beginning with the season opener at home against Ohio State on Jan. 6. Other Pac-12 Networks televised meets are Feb. 10 at California, Feb. 18 vs. Utah and Feb. 25 vs. Oregon State at home, Mar. 11 at Stanford, the home finale on Mar. 13 vs. San Jose State and the Pac-12 Championships in Tucson on Mar. 24. The NCAA Championships on Apr. 20-21 will be televised on the ESPN network.
The Bruins will offer up a preview of the season on Dec. 9 with the return of Meet the Bruins in a new format. The event will be a blue vs. gold intrasquad that will be televised live on Pac-12 Network.
UCLA returns five All-Americans from last year's squad that placed fourth at the NCAA Championships, including reigning NCAA bars and beam champion and 2012 Olympic gold medalist Kyla Ross, 2016 Olympic gold and silver medalist Madison Kocian, 2017 Pac-12 Specialist of the Year Christine Peng-Peng Lee, and former U.S. National Team members Katelyn Ohashi and Felicia Hano. Among the newcomers to the squad are four-time U.S. National Team member Nia Dennis and German Olympic alternate Pauline Tratz.
