November 15, 2017 | Women's Soccer
UCLA sophomore forward Sunny Dunphy became the third Bruin to earn CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 honors, as she was added to the second team after a district assignment error was discovered.
The error also bumped second-team honoree Julia Hernandez to the first team, making her eligible for Academic All-America consideration.
Dunphy, who hails from Carlsbad, Calif., holds a 3.93 GPA. She has played in all 20 games this season, making two starts. She has recorded a goal and two assists on the year. Dunphy joins sophomore defender Kaiya McCullough on the second team.
Hernandez, a 3.85 Applied Mathematics major, ranks second on the team with six goals and fifth on the team in scoring with 12 points.
