UCLA Tops Preseason Pac-12 Gymnastics Poll

For the second year in a row, the UCLA Gymnastics team has been selected the preseason No. 1 team in the Pac-12 in a poll taken by the conference coaches.
UCLA received 47 points and five first-place votes in the poll, edging Utah, who totaled 44 points and three first-place votes. California finished third in the poll with 30 points, and Washington was fourth with 28. Stanford and Oregon State tied for fifth with 27 points, and Arizona and Arizona State rounded out the poll in seventh and eighth place, respectively, with 12 and nine points.
The Bruins were selected No. 6 overall in the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches for Women (NACGC/W) preseason poll, behind Oklahoma, Florida, LSU, Alabama and Utah.
UCLA, which finished fourth at the 2017 NCAA Championships, opens the season on Saturday, Jan. 6 against Ohio State in Pauley Pavilion at 6pm. The meet will be televised live on Pac-12 Network. Tickets for UCLA Gymnastics home meets are on sale now at uclabruins.com/tickets.
