Women's Soccer to Host Positional ID Camp Jan. 15
December 14, 2017 | Women's Soccer
The UCLA women's soccer coaching staff will host a positional ID camp on Monday, Jan. 15 on the intramural field on the UCLA campus.
The camp instruction will be led by head coach Amanda Cromwell, associate head coach Joshua Walters, volunteer assistant coach Sam Greene and current and former UCLA women's soccer players.
The camp will offer players a more advanced knowledge of the game and detailed instruction from coaches and players who have reached the pinnacle of NCAA women's soccer. Camp participants will learn both offensive and defensive techniques and tactics and will have a chance to showcase their talent while competing against other high-level players.
"We are excited to host this positional identification camp in January," said Cromwell, who has led UCLA to two College Cup appearances in five years. "This camp allows us to work personally with each player in a functional setting. We are able to teach the game in their positions and then see them compete in a small-sided tournament in the afternoon. It's a great environment for young players as they look to move on to the next level."
Registration for the camp is open now and is open to all girls, grades 7-12.
