SAN FRANCISCO – UCLA junior Aaron Holiday has captured Pac-12 Player of the Week honors, as announced Tuesday by the Pac-12 Conference office.
 
Holiday helped the Bruins to a pair of victories against No. 7 Kentucky and South Dakota last week. He averaged 17.5 points, 6.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game.
 
In UCLA's thrilling 83-75 victory over No. 7 Kentucky, Holiday scored 20 points and had eight assists. He scored eight of UCLA's last 12 points over the game's final 2:30 to help the Bruins defeat the Wildcats for the third consecutive season.
 
Through games played on Dec. 25, Holiday ranks second in the Pac-12 in assists per game (5.6 apg). He also ranks 10th in the conference in scoring (17.6 ppg). Holiday has scored at least 20 points in four games this season and has scored at least 10 points in 11 of the team's 12 contests.
 
Holiday has become UCLA's first player this season to be named the Pac-12 Player of the Week.
 
UCLA returns to action on Friday, Dec. 29, hosting Washington State in Pauley Pavilion at 8 p.m. (PT). UCLA's game will be nationally televised by ESPN2.
