Alanna Smith added 14 points and 13 rebounds for Stanford. Nadia Fingall chipped in 10 points.

Jordin Canada led UCLA (9-3, 0-1) with 20 points, seven steals, six assists and four rebounds. Kennedy Burke and Japreece Dean had 14 points apiece, and Monique Billings finished with the 35th double-double of her career with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The Cardinal never trailed, and had a 12-point lead early in the second quarter before UCLA pulled to 32-29 at the break. Stanford led 48-46 entering the fourth quarter, and outscored UCLA 28-19 in the final period.

The Bruins will now face California on Sunday, Dec. 31 at 11:00 a.m. PT on the Pac-12 Network.
