UCLA's Jacquet Secures All-America Honors

Senior Marie Jacquet has captured second-team Pocock All-America honors, as announced Tuesday by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).

Jacquet, who has also been honored this season as an All-Pac-12 selection and a first-team All-Region 5 honoree, earned her first-ever national All-America award after having rowed for UCLA's varsity eight crew in 2017.

Hailing from Chalon-sur-Saone in France, Jacquet helped the Bruins V8+ crew to a first-place finish in the "B final" race on the second day of the Clemson Invitational on Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C. Jacquet rowed seven seat in the V8+ crew at the two-day Clemson Invitational.

An All-Pac-12 selection in 2016 and 2017, Jacquet became UCLA's first back-to-back all-conference honoree since Britta Syverson captured All-Pac-12 honors in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

This marked the second consecutive season in which Jacquet earned CRCA first-team All-Region 5 acclaim. In addition, she became UCLA's first back-to-back first-team all-region selection since Syverson (2011-2013).
