Jacquet Honored as All-Pac-12 Rowing Selection

Senior Marie Jacquet has earned All-Pac-12 women's rowing honors, as announced Wednesday by the conference office.

The selection of Jacquet to this season's All-Pac-12 team comes on the heels of the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) naming Jacquet as a first-team All-Region 5 selection on Monday.

Jacquet, who hails from Chalon-sur-Saone in France, rowed for UCLA in the varsity eight crew in 2017. She secured All-Pac-12 acclaim for the second consecutive season and was one of 13 student-athletes named to this season's All-Pac-12 women's rowing team.

Jacquet rowed in the V8+ throughout her senior season. Among the varsity eight crew's most notable spring highlights included a first-place finish in the "B final" on the second day of the Clemson Invitational on Lake Hartwell (Clemson, S.C.). Jacquet rowed seven seat in the V8+ crew at the Clemson Invitational.

An All-Pac-12 selection in 2016 and 2017, Jacquet has become the Bruins' first back-to-back all-conference honoree since Britta Syverson secured All-Pac-12 acclaim in 2011, 2012 and 2013. She has become UCLA's third back-to-back selection since the Bruins resumed their varsity women's rowing program in 2001-02.

In addition, Jacquet has secured CRCA first-team All-Region 5 honors for the second straight season. She has become the Bruins' first back-to-back first-team all-region selection since Syverson (2011-2013).
