UCLA Nets 13 Rowers on Pac-12 All-Academic Team

UCLA rowers Jasmine English, Suzannah Henderson and Lanea Tuiasosopo each secured first-team Pac-12 All-Academic honors, as announced Friday by the conference office.
 
In addition, Shalyn Fullerton and Marie Jacquet were honored as a second-team All-Academic members while eight Bruins secured honorable mention acclaim.
 
English, a junior from Belfast, Northern Ireland, earned first-team Pac-12 All-Academic honors for the second straight season. Henderson and Tuiasosopo, along with Fullerton and Jacquet, were honored on the conference's All-Academic team for the first time in their collegiate careers.
 
Juniors Sierra Bronkhorst, Mikayla Hart and KC Yeagley were named honorable mention Pac-12 All-Academic selections for the second straight season. Junior Sophia Denison-Johnston, along with sophomores Saskia Budgett, Kyra Edwards, Emily Foss and Jillian Solberg were selected as honorable mention selections for the first time.
 
Student-athletes must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's competitions to be eligible for the women's rowing all-academic team.
