BRUINS WELCOME COLORADO TO ROSE BOWL FOR WHITE-OUT
UCLA (2-2, 0-1) hosts last year's South Division champion Colorado (3-1, 0-1) on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the first conference home game of the season. The game will be televised by ESPN2. The Bruin IMG Radio Network will radio broadcast the contest, which will also be aired over Sirius/XM, uclabruins.com and tunein.com and the TuneIn App. UCLA fans are encouraged to wear white for the white-out game.

The Bruins own a 5-1 record over the Buffaloes in series match-ups played in Los Angeles. The Bruins have won the last three, with Colorado's last victory in LA coming in the 2002 season. Each of the last three meetings in the series overall has been won in the fourth quarter, or overtime, and those three games have been decided by a total of just 17 points.

UCLA captured a 40-37 win in overtime at Boulder in 2014 on Brett Hundley's scoring dash in the extra period. The Bruins registered a 35-31 victory in the last meeting in the Rose Bowl, in 2015, after tallying the deciding points on a Soso Jamabo 2-yd fourth-quarter run. In last year's game in Boulder, UCLA took a 10-7 lead at the half against the #21 Buffaloes. Colorado tied it up with a third-quarter field goal and then won it in the fourth quarter after adding another field goal and a 68-yard punt return for a touchdown. Rick Wade blocked one CU field goal attempt, and the Bruins misfired on two field goal attempts and had another blocked as CU came away with a 20-10 verdict.

THE WATCH LIST
โ€ข A win over Colorado would be the 599th overall in UCLA football program history. The Bruins played their first games in the 1919 season.
โ€ข With its 595-yard performance at Stanford, UCLA set a school mark with its fourth consecutive 500-yard total offense games in a season ... the school record for most 500-yard total offense games overall in a season is 5 --- in 2014, 1998, 1976, 1973.
โ€ข UCLA owns a 5-1 record vs. Colorado since the Buffaloes joined the Pac-12 for the 2011 season.
โ€ข Josh Rosen leads the nation in passing yards (1,763), passing touchdowns (16), points responsible for (102), points responsible for per game (25.5)...After his performance at Stanford, he moved into the top spot in the nation in total offense (444.8) and passing yards/game (440.8).
โ€ข Rosen has reached and surpassed the 1,500-yard passing mark, in four games, faster than any previous Bruin QB (1,763 yards).
โ€ข UCLA is the only school in the country with three receivers listed with an average of at least 100 receiving yards per game - Andrews (14th) 114.2,Jordan Lasley (17th) 106.7, Caleb Wilson (18th) 106.2.
โ€ข Darren Andrews, who leads the nation in touchdown catches with seven, needs three more catches to enter the school's all-time top 10 list and tie Taylor Embree (137) for 10th on the all-time school list for receptions. Andrews entered the year with five career touchdown receptions in his first three seasons of action.
โ€ข UCLA is the only school in the nation with at least four players averaging at least 100 all-purpose yards per game - #58 Darren Andrews 118.75, 86 Jordan Lasley 108.33, 87 Darnay Holmes 108.25, 94 Caleb Wilson 106.25
โ€ข Rosen, with his 480-yard effort at Stanford and his fourth straight 300-yard plus game to start the season, became the first Bruin quarterback to record more than three 300-yard passing games in a row during the same season.
โ€ข Rosen's 16 scoring passes in the first four games breaks Drew Olson's mark of 15 over a four-game stetch of the 2005 season.
โ€ข At Stanford, Darren Andrews became the first Bruin player to catch touchdown passes in four straight games since Thomas Duarte, 2015. J.J. Stokes is the all-time school leader with scoring catches in seven-straight contests in the 1993 campaign.
โ€ข Josh Rosen (491 v. A&M, 463 at Memphis, 480 at Stanford) tied Cade McNown's school mark of three 350-yard passing games in a season last week at Stanford ... Rosen's 480-yard passing performance at Stanford was his seventh career 350-yard passing game, which moved him past McNown (6) for the most in school history.
โ€ข The win over Hawai'i was victory #43 for Coach Mora, who is in fifth on the all-time Bruin coaching win list. Coach Mora needs seven more Ws to become just the fourth UCLA head man to reach the 50-win mark (Terry Donahue - 151, Bill Spaulding - 72, Red Sanders - 66, Bob Toledo 49)
โ€ข Josh Rosen moved past Cory Paus for 4th on the all-time UCLA career passing yards list in the first quarter at Stanford (currently 7,346 yds).
โ€ข The Stanford game marked the 13th-straight game in which Rosen has thrown at least one TD pass, a school record number (Brett Hundley, 2012-13; Tommy Maddox, 1990-91 each had streaks of 12 over the 2 seasons listed) ... Rosen has at least one scoring pass in 22 of his 23 career games (not Washington State) ... The Stanford game was the 9th career game in which he has at least 3 TD passes.
โ€ข The record of the remaining opponents on the Bruin schedule is: 25-7 ---- Colorado 3-1, Arizona 2-2, Oregon 3-1, Washington 4-0, Utah 4-0, Arizona State 2-2, USC 4-0, Cal 3-1.
โ€ข Caleb Wilson and Jordan Lasley, with their 11-catch performances at Stanford, became the fourth and fifth players in school history to record two double-digit reception games in the same season. At Memphis, Darren Andrews (12 vs. Texas A&M, 10 at Memphis) became the first Bruin receiver since Craig Bragg (10 vs. Oklahoma, 10 vs. Oregon in 2003) to record double-digit receptions in two games in the same season. Andrews was just the third Bruin receiver to do so at the time (also J.J. Stokes 10 vs. Washington, 14 vs. Wisconsin in 1993 season). No Bruin receiver has done it more than twice in a season. Stokes is the all-time school leader with three for his career.
โ€ข Josh Rosen needs one more touchdown pass to tie Tom Ramsey, 1979-82, for fourth on the all-time school list with 50.
โ€ข Josh Rosen registered his eighth career 350-yard total offense game at Stanford to equal the school record also held by Brett Hundley, 2012-14, and Cade McNown, 1995-98.
โ€ข Soso Jamabo with his 100-yard rushing effort at Stanford, became the first Bruin back to reach the century mark since Paul Perkins rushed for 121 yds. in a 2015 contest vs. Washington State.

IN BRIEF
โ€ข After his efforts at Stanford, Rosen became the first Bruin quarterback to throw for four 300-yard passing games in a row during a season.
โ€ข Rosen's 60 passing attempts at Stanford were the second-most in school history (Mike Fafaul /FAY-full/ 70 vs. Utah, 2016) ... Rosen's 40 completions matched Mike Fafaul's school record total of 40 in that same Utah game.

โ€ข Dating back to 1980, Rosen's 88% completion performance vs. Hawai'i (22-25) rates as the second-best by a Bruin QB behind Rick Neuheisel's 25-27 effort (.925) in a 1983 game vs. Washington.
