Junior Aaron Holiday of the UCLA men's basketball team has been named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 25-31.

Holiday averaged 23.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists in the Bruins' two home victories last week, helping UCLA improve its overall record 11-3. Holiday posted career highs of 33 points and 11 rebounds in UCLA's 96-82 win against Washington State on Friday night. Two days later, he finished with 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the Bruins' 74-53 victory against Washington.

Holiday became the 55th player in program history to have scored at least 1,000 career points, achieving that milestone during the first half of UCLA's victory on Thursday night.

Holiday, a 6-foot-1 guard from nearby Chatsworth, Calif., currently ranks sixth among Pac-12 players in scoring (18.4 ppg) and is second in assists per game (5.4). He has shot 46 percent from the field and 81.3 percent from the free-throw line while ranking second in the conference in minutes per game (36.1).

This is Holiday's second UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week of the season and the fourth of his career.

Also Nominated: Monique Billings (Women's Basketball).
