PHILADELPHIA, Pa., -- Six Bruins captured ACWPC All-Academic accolades, as announced by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC). The six players consist of senior James Robinson, junior Austin Rone, sophomore James Vlachonassios, redshirt sophomore Alex Wolf and freshmen Evan Rosenfeld and Luke Henriksson.

Rosenfeld, a freshman utility from Thousand Oaks, Calif. (Harvard-Westlake), secured "outstanding" honors. This season, he scored nine goals and registered six steals and two assists while playing in 25 games, making 13 starts.

Vlachonassios, a sophomore attacker/utility from Huntington Beach, Calif. (Huntington Beach HS), earned "superior" honors. He played in 19 games, scoring five goals. He also tallied 10 steals, eight assists and one field block.

Wolf, a redshirt sophomore goalkeeper from Huntington Beach, Calif. (Huntington Beach HS), also earned "superior" honors. The 2017 NCAA Championship MVP played in 22 games making 21 starts. He registered 193 saves on the year while sporting a goals against average of 6.98.

Rone, a junior attacker from Coronado, Calif. (Cathedral Catholic HS), earned "excellent" honors. He played in 25 games making 12 starts, scoring 12 goals. He also registered 31 assists, eight steals and two field blocks.

Robinson, a senior attacker from Palos Verdes, Calif. (Palos Verdes HS), also earned "excellent" honors. He played in 13 games, scoring seven goals while registering 11 assists and six steals.

Henriksson, a freshman attacker from Bell Canyon, Calif. (Harvard-Westlake), also earned "excellent" honors. He played in 25 games, making five starts and scoring seven goals. He also registered 11 assists, six field blocks and four steals.

The Bruins finished the 2017 season by winning the program's 11th NCAA Championship and the school's 114th overall with a 7-5 victory at USC. UCLA finished the year with a 21-4 overall record. It was UCLA's third NCAA title in the last four years.
