A total of 14 Bruins are on the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) opening day rosters for 2018, including 10 members of UCLA's 2013 NCAA Championship squad.

The North Carolina Courage continues to have the most UCLA representation, with five players on the roster – Darian Jenkins, Abby Dahlkemper, Sam Mewis, Katelyn Rowland, and McCall Zerboni. The Washington Spirit has three Bruins on the roster - Caprice Dydasco, Mal Pugh and Taylor Smith. Two other squads have multiple Bruin players on their teams - Seattle Reign FC (Lauren Barnes and Megan Oyster) and Chicago Red Stars (Lauren Kaskie and Rosie White). Other UCLA alumnae playing in the league are Sarah Killion (Sky Blue FC) and Sydney Leroux (Orlando Pride).

The season kicks off on Saturday, Mar. 24 with the North Carolina Courage hosting Portland Thorns FC at 12:30pm PT in a rematch of last year's NWSL Championship. Lifetime will televise the opener, along with 19 other regular season matches in 2018. The Orlando Pride also get underway on Saturday, against Utah Royals FC at 4:30pm PT, and Seattle and Washington face off at 7pm PT.
