Redshirt sophomore Rachel Garcia added a few more awards this week, as she was named ESPNW National Player of the Week, College Sports Madness National Player of the Week and Madness Pac-12 Player of the Week, while senior Kylee Perez was named Fastpitch News National Player of the Week.

Garcia, who earned multiple awards on Monday from the Pac-12 Conference and Tuesday from the NFCA and USA Softball, went 6-for-7 (.857) at the plate with three home runs and seven runs batted in to go with 2-0 with a 1.24 earned run average and 20 strikeouts in 11 1/3 innings in a three-game sweep at Arizona last weekend. Perez had seven hits in 12 at-bats (.583) with a homer, three RBI and six runs scored, going 4-for-4 with a round tripper in the series finale.

The Bruins, now ranked third in both national polls, open up a three-game home series against #1 Washington on Friday at 5 p.m. at Easton Stadium. The game will air on Pac-12 Networks.
