Patty Tavatanakit Named UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of Week

The freshman won the Pac-12 Conference Championship and helped the Bruin win their seventh Pac-12 title.

Freshman Patty Tavatanakit of the UCLA women's golf team has been named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for April 23-30.

Tavatanakit won her second tournament in a row, this time winning the Pac-12 Conference Championships, defeating teammate Lilia Vu in a one-hole playoff. Tavatanakit finished the tournament at 8-under 208 and helped the Bruins win their second Pac-12 title in a row and seventh all-time. It was the freshman's third victory of her career.

The Bruins earned the No. 1 overall seed for the NCAA Championships and will travel to San Francisco for the upcoming NCAA Regionals, which will take place May 7-9 at TPC Harding Park.

This is Tavatanakit's second UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week of the season and the second of her career.
