2018 European Tour

MARIBOR, Slovenia - The Bruins continued their 2018 European trip with three full days (June 21-23) in Maribor, Slovenia. Along with a pair of matches, players rode the infamous Alpine Slide, as well as a gondola, among their numerous sightseeing opportunities.

Senior Zana Muno discussed her trip to Maribor.

.com: How has your stay in Maribor been?
ZM: Maribor, Slovenia is such a beautiful place. The people are very welcoming and kind, and this small town has a lot of character.

.com: What was your first impression of the resort town?
ZM:
My first impression was the heat. But I was excited to get some color and lay by the beautiful pool.

.com: What did you think of the Alpine Slide?
ZM:
It was such a rush. I was so surprised on how fast it went. Sealy has gone on it before and hyped it up so much, but it lived up to expectations.

.com: How did your first scrimmage go?
ZM:
The scrimmage was a really good learning experience. It was not our cleanest match, but it highlighted areas that we need to work on. It was also very exciting because we had such great moments which showed how much potential we have.

.com: What are you most looking forward to on the rest of the tour?
ZM:
I'm looking forward to going to Venice and visiting Saint Mark's Basilica.

.com: What's the best thing you have eaten so far?
ZM:
We tried schnitzel in Prague and it was so good. The meal also came with a banana split, which was amazing.

.com: What's your favorite memory so far on the trip?
ZM:
The team went on paddle boats in Prague and it was exhausting, but just a memory I will never forget.
