MADISON, Wis. - Bruin alum Scott McCarron recorded the seventh victory of his PGA TOUR Champions career on Sunday, winning the American Family Insurance Championship by one stroke thanks to a final-round, 8-under 64. McCarron finished the 54-hole tournament at 15-under 201 at the University Ridge Golf Course.

McCarron, who made three birdies in a row on holes No. 14, 15 and 16, made par on the last two holes to win for the first time in 2018. He won four times a year ago and twice in 2016. Three of his seven career victories have been comeback wins, while McCarron's Sunday score of 64 tied for his lowest final-round total in his PGA TOUR Champions career.

McCarron has seven Top 10s in 2018, including three Top 5s in his last four starts, moving up to No. 3 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings.

Next up for McCarron on the PGA TOUR Champions is a stretch of three straight major tournaments, starting on Thursday at the U.S. Senior Open in Colorado.
