UCLA senior forward Hailie Mace has been named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, her fourth career award and the Bruins' 71st all-time weekly honor. She was also selected the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the third time in her career.

Mace (Ventura, Calif.) came off the bench to score the game-winning goal with just two seconds remaining in regulation to give the second-ranked Bruins a 1-0 victory over Long Beach State in the season opener and grand opening of Wallis Annenberg Stadium. With the clock counting down, Anika Rodriguez flicked the ball to Mace running towards goal. Mace forced a deflection and raced ahead of the Long Beach State defender, sliding the ball past the goalkeeper into the back of the net for the first goal in Wallis Annenberg Stadium history. The goal was Mace's 16th of her career and her fifth game-winning goal.

The Bruins will face three Top 6 teams on the road in the next two weeks, playing at No. 3 Penn State on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 1pm PT on ESPNU before traveling to No. 5 Florida on Aug. 31 and No. 6 Florida State on Sept. 2.
