CALGARY, Alberta - Bruin alum Scott McCarron won for the eighth time on the PGA TOUR Champions and the second time this season, with a hole-in-one on the par-3 14th helping him successfully defend his championship at the Shaw Charity Classic at Canyon Meadows.

McCarron posted a one-shot victory thanks to a final-round, 7-under 63, finishing at 15-under 195. He made five birdies in his first 13 holes on Sunday before the ace on the 154-yard 14th. McCarron made two birdies and two bogeys down the stretch to hold on for the victory.
