
Sophomore Mac May of the UCLA women's volleyball team has been named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Aug. 27-Sept. 2.
May, the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, led the Bruins in kills in five-set victories over two ranked teams, No. 12 Baylor and No. 19 San Diego. May recorded a career-high 21 kills against Baylor on Friday, hitting .315 and coming up just one dig shy of a double-double with nine. The nine digs tied a personal best. Against San Diego on Sunday, she recorded a match-high 14 kills, adding four digs and an ace. May leads the Bruins this season with 66 kills and 75.5 points.
This is May's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week of the season and her career.
