Redshirt junior linebacker Keisean Lucier-South of the UCLA football team was named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 8-16.

Lucier-South, also the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week, played a role in forcing three fourth-quarter turnovers in UCLA's 37-7 win at Cal. He recorded his first career interception to stop Cal's initial possession of the last quarter, picked up a fumble and returned it 38 yards for his first career touchdown, and terminated Cal's next possession with a quarterback sack and forced fumble. He finished the game with six tackles, including a career-best 3.5 tackles for loss, keying a defense that limited Cal to seven points, which is the fewest the Bruins have allowed since posting a shutout of Oregon State in the 2015 season.

This is Lucier-South's first career UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week award.

Also nominated: Erika Adler, W. Cross Country; Jake Cavano, M. Water Polo; Mac May, W. Volleyball; Teagan Micah, W. Soccer; Garrett Reynolds, M. Cross Country; Cody Sundquist, M. Soccer.
