UCLA Baseball to Host 36th Annual Golf Tournament & Banquet
October 19, 2018 | Baseball
The UCLA baseball program will host the 36th annual golf tournament on Monday, Nov. 19 at Strawberry Farms Golf Course, in Irvine, Calif.
The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. with registration and putting contests followed by a shotgun start to the round of golf at 11:30 a.m. Immediately following the tournament at 5:30pm, the dinner and program will commence, including a prize drawing and preview of the season by UCLA head coach John Savage.
Entry into the tournament, including dinner and an exclusive UCLA Baseball gift, costs $300 for an individual ($120 tax deductible) and $1,000 for a foursome ($280 tax deductible). Entry into the dinner and program only costs $75 ($40 tax deductible).
This year, UCLA Baseball is looking to use the proceeds of the tournament to help fund two new initiatives in support of our student-athletes. First, is the Xos Technology system that is an innovative camera-based technology used by professional baseball organizations. The fundraising goal for this initiative is $20,000.
The second is our Nutrition Enhancement Program to enhance how we fuel our UCLA Baseball student-athletes. The fundraising goal for this initiative is $25,000.
If you are interested in sponsoring one of these directly, please contact Zack Rosenfeld at zrosenfeld@athletics.ucla.edu or 310-206-3577.
Loyal supporters of the UCLA baseball program have numerous other opportunities to support the tournament as well, such as sponsoring players and making donations. Each donation is accompanied with various benefits like tee signs, exclusive gifts and tickets. Hole sponsorships are also a great way to support the program, either in addition to your foursome, or instead of playing in the tournament.
Those interested in attending the upcoming tournament, or sponsoring the event, should visit the tournament website. Any questions can be referred to Zack Rosenfeld in the UCLA Development Office at (310) 206-3302 or zrosenfeld@athletics.ucla.edu.
