LOS ANGELES – UCLA Football will play host to the Utah Utes this Friday, October 26 at the Rose Bowl Stadium with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. The Veteran and Armed Forces Appreciation game marks the 22nd consecutive year UCLA will honor those who serve.

All active duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces and veterans can receive a free ticket to the game by showing their military ID at the Rose Bowl ticket office on game day, at the Central Ticket Office on campus in advance, or by registering online at www.uclabruins.com/FBmilitary.

For UCLA vs. Utah Gameday presented by Under Armour, parking lots will open at 1:30 p.m. Fans are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and pre-purchase parking online here for $5 off on-site pricing.

The Rose Bowl offers one of the best tailgating experiences in college football, with a variety of options for pre-game celebrations. The new and improved Fan Zone in Lot H opens at 3:15 p.m., offering a wide array of public activities and photo opportunities. Fans should also be sure to check out the UCLA/Under Armour Photo Booth at Gate A. In addition, following @UCLAGameday on Twitter is the best way to receive the most up to date information on gameday at the Rose Bowl.

With the Dodgers hosting the Red Sox for Game 3 of the World Series on Friday, those coming to the Rose Bowl will have every opportunity to tune into the action. The game will be shown on TVs throughout the Lot H Fan Zone and the tailgating area. Once Rose Bowl gates open at 6:00 p.m., the baseball game will be shown on the video board until pregame festivities begin at approximately 7:15 p.m. There will be in-game scoring updates on the video board throughout the UCLA vs. Utah game, and the Dodgers game will be displayed in its entirety on TVs in the Rose Bowl's various hospitality spaces, including the Blue Moon Club, the TCL Lounge, Stella Rosa Wine Garden and Fairway Eats.

Fans are encouraged to enter the Rose Bowl early. As a reminder, enhanced screening procedures, including the use of electronic security equipment at all gates, have been implemented at UCLA Football games. The Clear Bag Policy limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the Rose Bowl. The policy is designed to provide more consistent screening and to expedite fan entry.

The first 12,000 fans to enter the stadium wearing PowderkegBlue will receive a Wooden Athletic Fund can koozie.

This season, the Rose Bowl, in partnership with concessionaire Levy Restaurants, has introduced new dining offerings including Carmela Ice Cream, Poke Nachos, Border Grill and much more. Fans can also find value-priced concessions in two locations. Value-priced $3 nachos and hot dogs and discounted fountain beverages will be on sale near tunnels 8 and 21.

Friday's Honorary Captains are UCLA Hall of Famers, father and son George and Danny Farmer. George Farmer was a three-sport athlete (track, football, basketball) at UCLA and a member of the 1970 NCAA championship basketball team. Following his collegiate career, George played six seasons in the National Football League. He was inducted into the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000. Danny Farmer was a two-sport athlete, playing both wide receiver for the football team (1996-99) and also exceling as a member of the NCAA championship men's volleyball team. Danny remains UCLA's all-time leader in receiving yards with 3,020. He went on to play three seasons with the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals. Danny joined his father in the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 2015.

Fans should be in their seats by 7:00 p.m. to witness pregame festivities, which include an aerial performance by the Navy Leap Frogs and a National Anthem performance by the UCLA Marching Band. Over the course of the game, four lucky UCLA students in attendance will each win a new 43" TCL TV, courtesy of a generous Wooden Athletic Fund donor.

UCLA Veteran of the Year Patricia Jackson-Kelley will be honored at halftime, as part of the Veteran and Armed Forces Appreciation events. Jackson-Kelley retired in 2003 as Lt. Colonel after completing 26 years of combined active duty and reserve military service. She served in the Air Force, Air Force Reserves, Navy Reserves and Army Reserves.

Also during halftime, the UCLA Marching Band will perform a show that will conclude with the unfurling of a giant 100-yard American flag. Other breaks during the game will feature a welcome of the 2018-19 UCLA Women's Basketball team, a recognition of Operation Mend, and a Junior Spirit performance.

New this season, as part of UCLA's new, comprehensive military appreciation ticket program, active duty members of the military, veterans and their families can purchase tickets for all regular-season UCLA home sporting events at half price. For football, the 50 percent discount will be offered at two different seat locations and price points. In partnership with GovX, these specially-priced tickets may be purchased in advance online.
