BOULDER, COLO. - No. 8 UCLA continued its winning ways, picking up its eight consecutive victory, 2-1 at No. 20 Colorado.

Sophomore Ashley Sanchez created both of the Bruins' goals, assisting on the first goal and scoring the game-winner in the 78th minute. Sanchez has scored a goal or assist in each game of UCLA's winning streak and leads the Bruins in all scoring categories with eight goals, seven assists and 23 points.

UCLA (13-3-1, 8-2-0 in the Pac-12) took a 1-0 lead at 19:50 on a goal off a set piece. After a Colorado foul, Sanchez sent a free kick to the left side that eluded a pair of Colorado defenders and found Olivia Athens' feet. Athens one-timed it to Chloe Castaneda, who was unmarked in front of the box, and Castaneda poked it in past Colorado goalkeeper Jalen Tompkins for her second goal in as many games.

The Bruins held Colorado (13-3-3, 5-3-2) to zero shots on goal in the first half, but the Buffs came out more aggressive in the second half. Colorado knocked on the door several times, with a shot that hit the post in the 63rd minute and a free kick that went just high in the 64th. Their tying goal would come five minutes later, when Taylor Kornieck knocked in a cross in front of the left post.

Sanchez gave UCLA the game-winner at 77:33, stealing the ball from a Colorado player in front of the goal and shooting it past Tompkins far post.

Teagan Micah, who started the second half, picked up the victory, her eighth this season. Lauren Brzykcy started the match and did not allow a goal.

UCLA will wrap up the regular season on Friday, Nov. 2 against USC at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
