LOS ANGELES – UCLA Football will play host to crosstown rivals the USC Trojans this Saturday, November 17, at the Rose Bowl Stadium with a 12:30 p.m. kickoff.
For UCLA vs. USC Gameday presented by Wescom, parking lots will open at 6:30 a.m. Lot H parking is sold out, but fans are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and pre-purchase parking in other lots online here for $5 off on-site pricing.
The Rose Bowl offers one of the best tailgating experiences in college football, with a variety of options for pre-game celebrations. The new and improved Fan Zone in Lot H opens at 8:15 a.m., offering a wide array of public activities and photo opportunities. Fans should also be sure to check out the UCLA/Under Armour Photo Booth at Gate A. In addition, following @UCLAGameday on Twitter is the best way to receive the most up to date information on gameday at the Rose Bowl.
Rose Bowl gates open at 11:00 a.m. Fans are encouraged to enter the Rose Bowl early. As a reminder, enhanced screening procedures, including the use of electronic security equipment at all gates, have been implemented at UCLA Football games. The Clear Bag Policy limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the Rose Bowl. The policy is designed to provide more consistent screening and to expedite fan entry.
50,000 Bruin Blue pom poms will be distributed on seats throughout the stadium.
This season, the Rose Bowl, in partnership with concessionaire Levy Restaurants, has introduced new dining offerings including Carmela Ice Cream, Poke Nachos, Border Grill and much more. Fans can also find value-priced concessions in two locations. Value-priced $3 nachos and hot dogs and discounted fountain beverages are on sale near tunnels 8 and 21.
Saturday's Honorary Captain is John Sciarra, who played quarterback for the Bruins from 1972-75 and was named a consensus All-American in 1975. Sciarra's teams posted a 32-10-3 record during his career and he piloted the Bruins to a Rose Bowl win (1976 game) over top-ranked Ohio State, earning Player of the Game honors. Sciarra, who still ranks 12th on the school total offense list (4,464 yds), finished seventh in the 1975 voting for the Heisman Trophy. He was the recipient of an NCAA Post-Graduate scholarship along with the NCCA Top 10 Award and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in the Class of 2014
Fans should be in their seats by 12:00 p.m. to witness pregame festivities, which include a National Anthem performance by the UCLA Marching Band and a U.S. Navy flyover. Halftime will feature performances by both teams' marching bands.
During the course of Saturday's game, fans will be encouraged to participate in the American Red Cross' text-to-donate campaign in support of those affected by California's devastating wildfires.
