The UCLA women's basketball team earned a top-25 ranking in the USA Today Sports women's basketball coaches poll, ranking No. 23.
The Bruins return two starters and 10 letterwinners from last year's Elite Eight team that finished 27-8 overall, including 14-4 in Pac-12 play. UCLA has reached the Sweet 16 in each of the past three seasons, a program record for consecutive appearances. Kennedy Burke (10.6 ppg) and Japreece Dean (7.7 ppg) are the team's top-returning scorers from a year ago, while Lajahna Drummer (6.3 ppg, 6.8 rpg) and Michaela Onyenwere (6.9 ppg, 4.7 rpg) also return for UCLA.
