
Sophomore guard Kris Wilkes of the UCLA men's basketball team has been named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 3-9.
Wilkes totaled 14 points and eight rebounds in the Bruins' 65-62 win over Notre Dame on Saturday evening. He nailed a three-pointer with 0.9 seconds to play, lifting the Bruins past the Fighting Irish in the three-point victory. Wilkes, who has scored in double figures in all nine games, made 3 of 7 shots from three-point range against Notre Dame.
This is Wilkes' first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week award this season and of his career.
