Series History
This is the 91st meeting between USC and UCLA with the Women of Troy holding a 48-42 lead in the series. The Bruins, however, have won seven of the last eight meetings, including the last four. Last season, UCLA swept the Women of Troy, posting wins of 59-46 (Feb. 2, 2018) and 84-70 (Feb. 5, 2018). In the last meeting, four players scored in double figures as the Bruins owned a 47-28 advantage on the glass and held USC to 34.4 percent shooting to earn the 14-point win on the road. Monique Billings and Jordin Canada led the way with 18 points apiece, while Lajahna Drummer collected a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

UCLA's Last Time Out
The Bruins launched to a 15-0 lead over Cal Poly in the opening minutes and never looked back in an 81-35 win over the Mustangs on Dec. 28 to cap non-conference play.

Three players scored in double figures, led by senior Japreece Dean's 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting. Senior Lajahna Drummer collected her second double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while senior Kennedy Burke went a perfect 7-for-7 from the field for 15 points.

UCLA held Cal Poly to just 17.5 percent (10-for-57) shooting and 35 points – both of which were season lows for the Bruin defense.

Non-Conference Recap
The Bruins finished a lethal non-conference slate with a 7-5 record, notching notable victories against then-ranked No. 14 Georgia (80-69), Oklahoma State (71-59), Seton Hall (78-62) and Fresno State (89-80). The Bruins continued their dominance at home, posting a 6-1 record. Excluding a setback to North Carolina, UCLA lost four of its five games by an average of 3.25 points. Sophomore Michaela Onyenwere led the way with 14.8 points per game, posting three double-doubles, while Burke and Dean added 14.7 and 13.4 points per outing, respectively. UCLA dominated the glass, outrebounding its opponents 527-403 for a +10.3 margin.
