No. 13 UCLA Dominant in Conference Win

LOS ANGELES โ In its final match before a spring break, the No. 13 UCLA women's tennis team blanked No. 47 Washington, 4-0, Sunday at Los Angeles Tennis Center. The win completed a weekend sweep of the Washington schools and ran the Bruins' conference winning streak to four.
Terri Fleming, Alaina Miller and Kristin Wiley secured the singles wins, as the trio dropped just four total games.
UCLA improved to 12-4 on the dual-match season, including a 4-1 mark in Pac-12 play. The Huskies fell to 10-8 (0-3).
Shibahara-Miller continued its domination of conference opponents, improving its Pac-12 record to 5-0 with a 6-0 sweep of Stacey Fung-Katarina Kopcalic on Court 3. The Bruin duo has also won eight straight overall. With the top court's ranked matchup locked in a close one, UCLA's team of Ayan Broomfield-Abi Altick took matters into its own hands, dominating Kenadi Hance-Alexis Prokopuik on Court 2, 6-1, to clinch the doubles point.
Like doubles play, the Bruins were largely unblemished in singles play. Bruins Miller and Kristin Wiley, playing next to each other on Courts 5 and 6, went shot for shot to see you would finish first. Miller would cross the finish line first, extending her personal winning streak to eight matches without losing a set. She topped Katarina Kopcalic, 6-1, 6-0. Then, making her first appearance since the dual-match opener, Wiley matched Miller, defeating Angela Li with a 6-1, 6-0 win of her own.
Fleming would drop just two games, both in the first set with Washington's Prokopuik on Court 3. The Bruin senior sped through the second set, though, securing the match-clinching win with a 6-2, 6-0 beating of her counterpart.
The Bruins will be out of action until April 6-8, when they visit Utah and Colorado. They will return to LATC one week later, when Arizona State checks in.
