STANFORD, Calif. -- No. 1 UCLA set a school record with its 25th consecutive dual victory on Sunday afternoon with a 4-1 win at No. 13 Stanford (13-8) in the fourth and final match of the Stanford West Coast Classic at Stanford's Beach Volleyball Stadium.

The Bruins, who improved to 30-3 on the season (the 30 wins also tie a school record for most in a season), return to action on Thursday, April 19 at No. 6 Long Beach State at 1:00 p.m.

The Bruins opened the dual with Stanford with two wins on the first flight on courts five and six. In exhibition play, freshman Cami Sanchez and sophomore Chanti Holroyd defeated the Cardinal's Kat Anderson and Chelsea Red-Horse Mohl in straight sets, 21-16, 22-20 on court six. Then sophomore Madi Yeomans and senior Elise Zappia took down Stanford's Shannon Richardson and Blake Sharp in two sets, 21-17, 21-10 to put the Bruins up 1-0.

In flight two on courts one and two, the Bruins closed the door on the Cardinal. UCLA junior Sarah Sponcil and sophomore Lily Justine put the Bruins up 2-0 with a 21-8, 21-18 win over the Cardinal's Sunny Villapando and Courtney Bowen on court two. Then on court one, juniors Megan McNamara and Nicole McNamara defeated Stanford's Morgan Hentz and Amelia Smith, 21-11, 19-21, 15-8 to seal the dual win.
