Budgett Named to All-Pac-12 Rowing Team

SAN FRANCISCO – Junior Saskia Budgett has earned All-Pac-12 women's rowing honors, as announced on Thursday by the conference office.
 
Budgett, who arrived at UCLA from Lausanne, Switzerland, has rowed in the Bruins' top varsity eight crew in each of her three collegiate seasons. She earned All-Pac-12 acclaim for the first time in her career and was one of 12 student-athletes named to this season's All-Pac-12 women's rowing team.
 
Budgett rowed in the V8+ throughout her junior season, helping the Bruins' varsity eight boat to a third-place finish on the first day of the annual San Diego Crew Classic on Mission Bay.
 
Joining Budgett on this season's All-Pac-12 team includes Marlee Blue (Washington), Mia Croonquist (California), Stephanie Grauer (Stanford), Alina Hagstrom (Oregon State), Phoebe Marks-Nicholes (Washington), Brooke Mooney (Washington), Emily Morrow (Washington State), Radka Novotnikova (USC), Meg Saunders (Stanford), Tabea Schendekehl (Washington) and Leigh Warner (Stanford).
 
Washington's Mooney was named the women's rowing "Athlete of the Year" while Sofia Asoumanaki secured the conference's "Newcomer of the Year" award.
