The UCLA women's rowing program saw 15 of its student-athletes named to the Pac-12's All-Academic Team on Tuesday afternoon.
Three student-athletes – senior Jasmine English and juniors Suzannah Henderson and Lanea Tuiasosopo – secured first-team acclaim. English earned first-team all-academic honors for the third consecutive season (freshmen are not eligible for the academic award). Henderson and Tuiasosopo secured first-team honors for the second consecutive year.
Junior Lucy Jepson and sophomores Josie Beyer, Shalyn Fullerton and Haley Tong were honored as second-team all-academic selections. Each of those student-athletes were recognized on the conference's list of all-academic selections for the first time in their respective collegiate careers.
Seniors Sophia Denison-Johnston, Mikayla Hart and KC Yeagley, juniors Saskia Budgett, Kyra Edwards and Erin O'Donohue and sophomores Fiona Buzzard and Nicole Ott were all recognized as honorable mention selections. Hart and Yeagley were named to the league's honorable mention list for the third time in as many years. Budgett, Denison-Johnston and Edwards were selected as honorable mentions for the second time in their careers.
Student-athletes must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and compete in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions to be eligible for the women's rowing all-academic team.
