CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. - Eight days after her first-career no-hitter, freshman Megan Faraimo tossed her second, striking out nine in No. 2 UCLA's 3-0 victory over Colorado State on Sunday.

Faraimo had four 1-2-3 innings in the second, third, fifth and sixth, striking out two in the first, third and fourth. She allowed only three baserunners on two Bruin errors and a hit by pitch. The no-no is the 111th in UCLA history.

UCLA (14-0) got on the board in the second after sophomore Kinsley Washington doubled and scored when freshman Kelli Godin reached on a Colorado State (9-4) error.

The Bruins added two more in the fifth. Redshirt sophomore Aaliyah Jordan led off with a single to right and redshirt junior Rachel Garcia added a single to left, with freshman Anna Vines running for Jordan and sophomore Alana Snow running for Garcia. Senior Taylor Pack followed with a single to right to bring in Vines to make it 2-0. With Snow reaching third on the Pack single, she would score on a sacrifice fly to left by sophomore Julie Rodriguez to bring the lead to 3-0.

The Bruins are back in action on Wednesday at 6pm at Fullerton's Anderson Family Field, taking on No. 3 Florida as part of the Judi Garman Classic. The game will be streamed on FloSoftball for a fee.
