BOULDER, Colo.Kris Wilkes scored 19 points and Jaylen Hands added 18 as UCLA dropped a 93-68 decision at Colorado in a Pac-12 game on Thursday evening.
 
Colorado (18-11, 9-8 Pac-12) led the game from start to finish, securing a 37-27 lead by halftime, en route to the Buffaloes' fourth consecutive win over UCLA (16-14, 9-8).
 
Tyler Bey scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Buffaloes, while Shane Gatling finished with 26 points. D'Shawn Schwartz added 15 points for Colorado, rounding out a group of double-figure scorers.
 
Colorado opened the second half on a 7-2 scoring run, pushing the Buffaloes' advantage to 15 points (48-33). UCLA never was able to reduce Colorado's cushion to any fewer than 11 points. Moses Brown made a free throw to covert a three-point play with 11:20 to play, clipping Colorado's lead to 56-45.
 
After Colorado claimed a 16-point advantage with 6:31 remaining, the Bruins cut the margin back down to 12 points – at 71-59 – with 5:02 to play.
 
In the first half, the Buffaloes pushed their cushion to as many as 10 points by halftime, entering the locker room with a 37-27 lead. Colorado closed the half with a layup by McKinley Wright IV, helping the Buffaloes to secure the 10-point advantage.
 
The Buffaloes led 30-20 with 3:42 to play before halftime before Wilkes scored UCLA's next seven points, helping reduce the Buffaloes' cushion to 32-27, with 1:31 left in the opening half.
 
Colorado limited UCLA to 33.3 percent shooting in the first half and out-rebounded the Bruins by a 23-19 margin.
 
The Buffaloes won the rebounding battle, overall, by a 47-35 tally.
 
UCLA will return to action at Utah in the regular-season finale for both teams on Saturday. Game time at the Jon M. .Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City is 4 p.m. PT (5 p.m. MT). Saturday's game will be televised by Pac-12 Networks.
