BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Robert Brandt earned First-Team All-America honors in the 3000m, and the UCLA track & field team capped the NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday evening at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
 
With a time of 7:56.72, Brandt earned an eighth-place finish, capping the championships as a two-time indoor All-American.
 
To open the afternoon, Justin Stafford just missed a spot on the first team, placing ninth in the weight throw with a toss of 21.60m (70-10.5) en route to sealing Second-Team All-America plaudits.  
 
Alyssa Wilson, who finished fourth yesterday in the shot put, continued her success on the field, taking ninth in the weight throw with a mark of 20.98m (68-10).
 
Next Meet
UCLA will begin the outdoor campaign on March 15-16 at the Willie Williams Classic in Tucson, Ariz.
