UCLA senior Katelyn Ohashi broke a pair of Pac-12 records by winning the conference's Specialist of the Week award for the sixth time this season. Ohashi sets a new single-season mark, breaking the record of five set by her former teammate Christine Peng-Peng Lee in 2018. Ohashi also broke Lee's all-time record, earning her 10th career award.
Ohashi earned her fifth perfect 10 of the season on floor exercise to remain unbeaten on floor this year with 10 victories. With 10 career perfect 10s, she ranks No. 4 all-time on UCLA's career list. Ohashi ranks No. 1 in the nation on floor exercise with a national qualifying score of 9.995 and is ranked No. 2 on balance beam with a 9.965 national qualifying score. She has scored 9.925 or higher on floor in 21 straight meets.
Joining Ohashi as Pac-12 weekly winners were Utah's MyKayla Skinner, who was named Gymnast of the Week, and Cal's Milan Clausi, who earned her third-straight Freshman of the Week award.
No. 2 UCLA defend its Pac-12 title on Saturday in West Valley City, Utah at the 2019 Pac-12 Championships. The top-seeded Bruins will compete in the evening session at 6 p.m. MT.
