LAS VEGAS - The Bruins shot a 17-over 305 at the Southern Highlands Collegiate on Sunday.
Junior Hidetoshi Yoshihara is tied for 45th after 18 holes, shooting a 3-over 75. He made a pair of birdies on No. 11 and 16, three bogeys and a double. Sophomore Eddy Lai is tied for 52nd, posting a 4-over 76 on one birdie (No. 9), three bogeys and a double. Senior Cole Madey and freshman Sean Maruyama are tied for 60th (+5, 77). Madey had three birdies on No. 16, 3 and 5, six bogeys and a double, while Maruyama notched three birdies on No. 13, 3 and 5, two bogeys and three doubles. Sophomore Devon Bling is tied for 69th, making a nice eagle on the par-3 3rd, six bogeys and a double in a 6-over 78.
The Bruins begin their second round on Monday at 10:20 a.m. on the 10th tee in the order of Bling, Madey, Maruyama, Lai and Yoshihara. Live streaming will be available courtesy of Golfweek.
