Senior Maria Polyakova of the UCLA women's swimming & diving team has been named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 25-Mar. 3.

Polyakova was named Diver of the Meet at the Pac-12 Championships after winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter titles. The Diver of the Meet award was her second in her career, and UCLA's third consecutive (Polyakova in 2017 and 2019, Eloise Belanger in 2018). Making her first appearance for UCLA since January due to injury, Polyakova captured her second career 1-meter title on Feb. 28, posting a score of 335.70, her second-highest score of the year. The following day, she captured her second 3-meter title with a score of 350.70. Polyakova trailed the leader by over 20 points and was in third place heading into the final dive but scored 67.50 on her final attempt to leapfrog Stanford's Carolina Sculti by a margin of less than five points.

This is Polyakova's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week award this season and second of her career.
