AUGUSTA, Ga. - Bruin alum Patrick Cantlay and current UCLA sophomore Devon Bling both made the cut at The Masters. Cantlay finished in a tie for ninth, while Bling placed 55th.

Cantlay, who at one point held the lead during the final round, made the cut at 2-over 146 before firing an 8-under 64 in the third round, which was one shy of tying the course record. Cantlay finished with a 4-under 68 to close at 10-under 278. His Top 12 finish assured that he will earn another trip to Augusta next year. In 10 events this season on the PGA TOUR, Cantlay has five Top 10s, including one second-place finish. He has earned nearly $2 million this season and is 21st in the FedExCup standings.

Bling, one of four amateurs to make the cut, finished at 3-over 291. After a long wait following his Friday round to see if he made the cut, he did so on the number at 3-over 147. Bling shot a 1-under 71 on Saturday, closing with a 1-over 73 on Sunday. Coming up next for the sophomore is the Pac-12 Men's Golf Championship in Eugene, Ore. starting next Monday.
